I like wearing stockings that have a run or two in them. Maybe it originated in thrift. Why throw away stockings, especially ones like these that often cost more than twenty dollars a pair, just because of a run? But it’s grown deeper than that.
I like the imperfection of it. I enjoy that it makes me feel a little dirty, a little used, a little roughed up.
Even when I’m the only one who knows it’s there. Possibly especially then. A dirty little secret.
